Programme Structure

The Digital Economy Accelerator Programme is divided into 3 stages - Training Stage, Pilot Stage, and Actualisation Stage, with a Graduation Ceremony at the conclusion. The programme aims to guide participating designpreneurs through these stages by providing digital entrepreneurship training and mentorship, with the goal of strengthening digital business operations and fostering a collaborative industry ecosystem.

Training Stage
A minimum of 15 hours of essential training will be provided to assist designpreneurs in establishing their presence in the digital economy.

Pilot Stage
Designpreneurs will receive a minimum of 8 hours of advanced training, which will provide practical insights and hands-on experience shared by industry leaders and successful entrepreneurs.

2 hours of group mentorship will be provided to offer practical industry knowledge.

Designpreneurs will participate in the Digital Business Plan Challenge for a chance to advance to the next stage and receive funding.

Actualisation Stage
Twenty designpreneurs will advance to the Actualisation Stage. The successful designpreneurs will:

Be given the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned and subsequently launch or expand their e-commerce businesses.

Receive a minimum of 6 hours of 1-on-1 mentorship with leading digital experts and/or experts from other disciplines;

Be able to demonstrate how the programme has empowered them to develop comprehensive digital business plans; and

Be awarded funding of up to HK$225,000 each, to execute their e-commerce business plans.
Sep 2024
Graduation Ceremony
The top 5 designpreneurs will have the opportunity to compete for the titles of Champion,1st runner-up, and 2nd runner-up, by presenting their digital business plans and KPI achievements, and demonstrating how they have turned what they have learned into real-world success.
